Yeah, she knocked someone out, not by punching them or anything, just by her mere name someone was knocked out.  Listen about half way in, it’s pretty funny!

Yes, you read the title right, someone has banned cartwheel’s.  That someone I am talking about is an Australian school.

A school in northern Australia will review a ban on cartwheels, handstands and other gymnastic tumbles in the playground after a community backlash, the state education department said Wednesday.

Belgian Gardens State School in Townsville, Queensland, recently banned all unsupervised gymnastic activities outdoors in what it called an effort to protect students from injury.

The policy became nationwide news Tuesday when a parent complained to the Townsville Bulletin newspaper.

Kylie Buschgens said her 10-year-old daughter had been punished for doing cartwheels, even on the grass, after students were told of the ban at a recent assembly. She told the newspaper that her daughter and other students now “sit around and do nothing” during recess and lunch breaks because they are not interested in other sports.

That is so stupid!  The school never even stated that anyone had been injured by doing these skills, just that it was a protection measure.

So pretty much they aren’t allowing kids to play like kids.

Everyone needs to go here and vote for Nastia Liukin to be sportswoman of the year.  This is a voting put on by the Woman’s Sports Foundation.  We need to get the word out there to the people that already don’t know, how great Nastia is as a gymnast and person.

WOW so i just found this commercial on youtube of Shawn, Paul, and Morgan Hamm endorsing Ortega taco’s.  That was hilarious!  Not terrible acting, but still funny!

I did however just find this clip of Shawn after her taping of the show and its like the TMZ one, just longer, and more annoying.  I don’t know how she is dealing with all this so well, I’d want to be at home curled up in a ball already.

It seems that since Shawn and Nastia have returned to the states that they are getting more attention than they bargained for.  One type of attention is paprazzi following them, and being profiled on TMZ.  TMZ is a website that follows celebrities and their lives; so I guess Shawn and Nastia are now celebrities.

Nastia is featured here in a video that followed her after her taping on Jay Leno last night.  They aren’t very nice in this one, calling her an ice princess.  I’m sorry she didn’t want to give you an autograph TMZ. EDIT: Thanks to a reader for letting me know that I cannot read and somehow mixed up the article in which is states Nastia’s agent is the ice queen.  Wow I need to go back to school and learn how to read huh?  Well school starts next week so I guess I’ll get my practice soon.

Shawn is featured in this clip signing autographs as she left the taping of David Letterman yesterday.  They were much nicer to her since she was signing autographs, however they had to bring up the article that gave them a lot of hate mail.  

The article I am talking about is located here.  They compared Shawn to Topo Gigio who is an Italian mouse from “The Ed Sullivan Show.”  This article is now the most commented article on TMZ right now, with 99.9% of it being bad against TMZ for picking on America’s sweetheart.

Stick to celebrities TMZ, leave our gymnasts out of it.

EDIT: I even just found this post about how much flack TMZ received.  USA Gymnastics even asked TMZ to take down the article calling Shawn a mouse.  That’s what you get!  It’s about time USA Gymnastics stood up for their girls.

So I caught the last couple minutes of Shawn’s interview last night on the Late Show with David Letterman.  She seemed so nervous!  She was always humble, sweet, and adorable as usual, but she seemed so scared to be on that stage with him!

However, the best part of the clip was when David Letterman said that while the Chinese thought the camera’s were turned off, they were actually on and caught them with their pacifiers in their mouths!!!  I died laughing and Shawn wanted to laugh so hard, but you could tell she wanted to be polite to the Chinese.  Oh my gosh it was one of the funniest things, I hope someone puts it up on youtube soon!

Seriously, who calls 16 year olds adorable?  I do!  Can Shawn get any cuter?

This is Shawn on The Tonight Show that is airing on August 25, or tonight!

Set your Tivo everyone!  I have read that Shawn Johnson will appear on David Letterman’s show tonight, I guess she took a detour before returning home!

I love this picture of Nastia Liukin and her dad Valeri Liukin, each with their Olympic medals.  It looks like (I could be wrong) that they each won the same medals.  One gold, two silver, and a bronze…am I wrong?

Nastia just get’s more beautiful the older she gets!
